We put our out around July 4th. Is that about the time you start?
I start August 1. If I put them out any sooner, I have trouble with identifying unique bucks, as their racks are still growing so rapidly in late July. The same buck may look very different from week to week in July and I don't want to bugger up my data by accidentally assigning two different identifiers to the same buck simply because his antlers had grown so much from one week to the next.

Some goodrns!!!

I run cams early too. Heck some of them run year round, especially at mineral sites. I do get mixed up sometimes like BSK mentioned. It gets especially tricky when there are a dozen 2yr-3yr 8pts that all look exactly the same. But I can't help myself. I gotta look lol

That is amazingly advanced growth for this time of year. Just goes to show how each buck is an individual. I've seen bucks with velvet antlers still growing in late August. I've also seen them finished growing by the end of July.
