Explanation??

Why can't a company that is located in TN ship ammo to an address in TN without a FFL??

I finally found some "hot" dove loads at a great price at Natchez shooters supply and they told me they could not ship them to me. TN, Ga, and a couple others were off limits, but they could ship to NC, so I just got my dad in NC to get them for me.

Just wondering because I've ordered ammo before from cabela's and Macks Prairie wings and never had any issues.

I cant stand Natchez for that reason. I dont care how cheap he is, I wouldnt buy from him even if he did ship to TN.

I was looking for the Rio 3 3/4 dr and 1 1/4 #8's and after finding noone who had any in stock, I called Rio (which are in TN) and they were extremely helpful and the guy went down a list of suppliers and finaly found they had'em in stock. Even after shipping I'm still 3-5 dollars cheaper/box than winchester's or Rem's.

By the way, Rio gets my vote. They went well out of their way to help me and were very nice. Customer service goes a long way in my book!

The reason Natchez Shooting Supply doesn't ship to TN,GA an AL is they are a mail order off shoot of the Dist. Chattanoga Shooters Supply (SP) they don't wish to compete with there dealers they supply in those states.

Now if you have a good local dealer who you do a lot of busniess or in tight with they might get you what you want from them at close to the same price or better. Did that once on a scope that was being closed out through Natchez.

I was told by Natchez that it was because they are a wholesaler..I just have them ship the stuff my uncles house in Lexington,KY and pick it up when I got up there or have him bring it to me when he comes down.

But I live 5 miles from Virginia and several guys that work with me live there so I have it shipped to their house and they bring it to me. Not a problem for me. They will beat anyones prices also if you would happen to find an item cheaper.

Ditto. I have my stuff shipped to a family member's house in AR (10 miles from my work) and I pick it up from there. I respect there business decision as well. They did not want to cut out the "small businesses" who made them who they are today.
