Ever seen a deer herd this large?

I have seen some close to that. When I was doing research at the Bluegrass Army Depot in Kentucky, they had a sever overpopulation problem. I often saw large herds at salt licks during the summer and in the evergreens during bad weather in the winter. It was not uncommon for me to see 50+ deer in a field at a time, sometimes a lot more if the conditions were right. I think they have thinned the herd a lot now.

I was thinking Spring. Trees not leafed out, but grass is green.

I counted about 87 going over the fense and maybe another 20 in a knotted up group that never crossed.

Wouldn't that be something to have come through the woods!

Did you see anything?

Yea, 97....39 bucks and 58 does. Didn't feel like dragging anything out

:D

Somebody has been trespassing on my property again and filming my deer heard !!!!!!LOLOLOLOL

When I was very young we lived in Michigan for a short time and I recall deer "yarded up" in winter. One day I saw what appeared to be scores and scores of deer running across a snowy field. I don't know how many there were but I've never before (nor since) experienced anything like that.
