Got in a box stand to hunt this evening and this little guy showed himself , I stayed for a few minutes but decided I just couldn't shoot a bow out of it and now I'm just sitting on the ground

I was bush hogging a 4wheeler trail for my boy and when we were done we walked the trails - had one of them green snakes drop on me out of a tree branch. Scared the bejezuz outta me at first, friendly lil guys tho

i used to see a lot of those little guys. they are rare anymore.

just an fyi: keeping a wild one for a pet is illegal.

Beautiful (can't believe I just said that about a snake). Have only seen 1 other like it...picking plums one morning as a kid. After I got over the willies i recall marveling over that almost luminous green color and those piercing eyes. Thanks for sharing...definitely brings back memories.

That being said, never wanna see one again and better in your box blind than mine.

green snake aka grass snake. never heard them called a vine snake.

Ok, thank stik, was curious. Where I grew up we called them green snakes and vine snakes depending on who was telling it.

Wow.I don't remember ever seeing one that long, but green snakes were pretty common back home on the MS gulf coast. We've been here in TN for over 20 years now and I might've seen one.
