I dropped a buck off at Adams last September and asked them to make a Euro mount for me and I still haven't heard back from them to come pick it up.

What would be a reasonable amount of time before I start calling them to see if they have finished it or if they may have lost it? The first one I had them do for me a couple years ago was dropped off in November and back to me by February so I'm starting to get a little nervous.

I'd been calling about November. No way they was that busy with mounts that early in the year.

Did they say how long it might take when you dropped it off? Add a month to that then i'd call. If not, 3-4 months is plenty of time to have it done. After 6 months, id start worrying.

He didn't give an estimate and now I can't get anyone over there to answer the phone. I think they work very sparingly in the spring time but I would still like to have my mount. It's been almost 7 months.

They are there some during the daytime every week but not having a set schedule makes it hard to get ahold of them . I know the guy that does all of their Euro mounts (they don't do their own) is backed up , my buddy just got one back from that guy .

I finally got in touch with them and they said it's ready for me to pick it up. Now I just have to time it right to get there when they're open. I honestly got the impression it had been done for a little while and they just forgot to call me. No harm done so I'm not upset.

If it's like their meat processing, you will probably get a much smaller rack and not the deer you brought them...............

I experienced that for the first time last hunting season. Deer dressed at 110 pounds and I got around 22 pounds of meat. 4 steaks, scant tenderloin and some burger was all that was in the bag. I've tried calling Cold Water Farms to see what their hours are for processing but can't get anyone there to answer the phone. Makes me seriously consider processing my own this season if the need arises and I can't find a better option.

Dang you guys should try 3May Processing and Taxidermy in Huntland Tn. Meat processing is great n tax...always open!

When cold water farms went to $70 for reg cut I started doing all of my own, also had a doe made all into sausage and cut a pack open the next morning after I picked it up and it had a 1/2" of brown meat on the out side,no telling how long that had been made and stored.

Wow. That's an unwelcome surprise for sure.
