Could buy complete upper and complete lower separate and come out under $500 for a basic rifle. No assembly required. Just two pins. So easy a caveman (and myself) can do it. Check out palmetto state armory, slick guns, runner runner guns, anderson, bear creek arsenal, frontier armory, etc....the list goes on. Just got to pay the transfer fee for the lower. Good luck.

I recently got a classic lower from PSA and and upper from runnerrunnerguns and they were a great fit. So far so good. Love it. Got around $470 in it after shipping and transfer fee. Just watch all the sites for the daily deals.

benton shooters usually has good deals on DPMS. at one time they had them for $499 and US Money shops in cleveland almost always has ARs and have a awesome layaway plan.

I went to some of those sites but was confused by all the "parts", I didn't see any compete upper or lower parts? What should I be pulling up?

Just some examples...You can also buy an upper without the bolt (can probably find one for $80-100). Just keep searching till you find a deal. What I have listed is primarily basic stuff. Or you may be able to find a deal on a complete rifle. I've found it hard to find any good deals on complete used rifles right now.

After the way Benton Shooters raped eastern Tn with 300% mark ups, I wouldn't give nor suggest anyone spend a dime there. They mark ups in general are high and their customer service lacks @ best. Check the pawn shops, rembering that there is a surplus of ARs out there right now. I second the idea of building. Stripped lowers can be had for $50, dealers can get for $40 some places. You could build for less than $500 if you look for the deals. Check out Brownels. The build is so easy a 5th grader can do it, and I happen to know 2 of them that have done complete builds.

Totally agree.
I went in there a couple months ago when we played Polk Co in basketball, looking for Varget.
Even though "the craze" has largely died down they continue to be very overpriced on many items, compared to Sportsmans and even Gander Mtn.
Many of their used guns are marked up to new gun prices, and their reloading stuff-especially powder- is ridiculous.
I know they kinda have a corner on the, market due to location, but Cabelas or Bass Pro is 3 days away via UPS.

OK just so I understand I look for a complete upper and a complete lower and just two screws or bolts later and I have a complete package? What is a DPMS
There are two pins in the lower assembly that connect the two. DPMS (Defense Procurement Manufacturing Services) is a brand of AR15.

Make sure the upper comes with a bolt assembly and charging handle. Some do not.

In summary, you need a complete lower, complete upper, magazines, and ammo.

It looks like a great deal, does it include a bolt assembly and charging handle as I wouldn't know one from the other
Yes everything is included, BTW my stepson put one of these on a PSA lower unit and it will shoot bulk 55 gr.XM193 ammo under 1/2 inch at 100 yards and 69 gr Sierra MK will shoot 1/2 inch at 300 yards. That's with a Leupold Mark4 2.5-8x36
