After 5 years, the battery gave up the ghost on my Polaris 570 Sportsman. Whoever designed the battery placement on this model should be neutered. While I took many breaks because my old back couldn't stand the constant contortion, it took me 4 hours to complete the task. Aftermarket companies sell a kit to make it much easier. Why couldn't Polaris take a hint and do a better job of engineering? Maybe they have, mine is a 2015 model.

They don't want you working on it. They want you to have to bring it in to the dealership. That way they sell parts and make more money.

I bought the quad logic battery relocation kit. Puts it under the left rear fender like it was on the 500ho models. $85 well spent.

I put a small car battery in mine and relocated to the drivers side. Installed a home made battery holder and it work like a champ.
