Encore hangfires

I've gotten 2-3 hangfires out of the last 6 shots, any idea what needs to be changed?
Breech is cleaned and dry

Have you cleaned the breach plug with a drill bit? Carbon will build up inside the breach plug and has to be removed by a drill bit due to it getting hard.

Guessing volume. Is the powder fairly new and been stored properly. Just trying to rule some things out. Also, make sure your bullet is firmly seated.

I shot some loose 777 tonight and it fired perfectly

#55 bit for the flash hole
Seat the bullet firm


Blackhorn is hard to ignite if any is a bit off, especially 125grs. I'd had to touch it off, lol.

250gr Barnes. Shot the same load out of my CVA with the Blackhorn breech with zero issues

It is, the long 1/4 turn one

Make sure the hammer is not lightly brushing the scope as you fire. I've seen this before. It slows down the hammer just enough to not ignite the primer

Its the breech plug its self, hole isnt big enough down that long plug, not enough consistent spark getting to the powder, blackhorn is harder to ignite than 777

Make sure you see shiny metal at the bottom of the plug after using the drill bit (1/8 or 5/32 can't remember).
