I currently have a helix 12 MSI G4 on my bow. The plan is a mega 360 and Ultrex there is a helix 12 MDI W/transducer in the classifieds. If I buy it, put it on the bow and the MSI hooked to its transducer at the console, can I side scan? Even though it's a transducer that came with a MDI.

You will need to connect the 2 units together and will not need the 2nd transducer. They will work on the side image transducer. But no the msi unit will not display the side image just the down image from your original transducer.

I don't have a transducer for my MSI.

Ok got you. No the msi and stand down image are different transducers. Msi are longer than the original
