Early Archery Hunt in August

Anyone heard about a early velvet hunt 24-25 August. I've heard rumors but didn't see it in the regulations.

Dates are Aug 24-26, private land only, antlered hunt only, archery equipment only, daily/statewide bag limits apply.

There have been several threads about it over the last month or so, some in the General Forum, and some in the Serious Deer Hunting Forum.

I've been following the hunt, but it just sounds miserably hot.
