EHD..it shows up every year ..some years worse then others.
EHD is different then Black or Blue tongue,not the same disease ....lot of people think they are.

Its EHD and is often called Blue or black tongue because of the similarities of Blue tongue in Cattle. Not the same however. SP? "Endozootic hemmorage disease" is what EHD stands for. Spread by a biting insect that gets in the nasal cavity, drought years seem to be the worst because deer congregate at limited water sources where the midges actually hatch.
