We had a good shoot years ago on 2 acres done like that but it was dry they whole time to the day we shot. A rain would have messed it up.

The one we did like that years ago we did 20ftx 50yd strips in the field, did it in July and threw out cracked corn (was gone 10 days before opener) for a month and then top sewn wheat and got a 5 guy limit, added a fake power line and killed the foliage off a 10ft cedar also

What did you use to create a fake power line?

Not the op, but I've been thinking about something similar. My plan is to sink some 12ish foot long poles in old tires filled with concrete - a heavy base but still movable. String some cable between them and may need some ground anchors/ratchet straps to be secure. A buddy of mine made one a couple of months ago in his sunflower field and the birds are using it heavily.

I used 2 10' sections of black iron pipe, put a rope between then about 20' or put eye bolts on top and ran a 20lb fishing line through to the other pole, mounted a reel on the pole and attached the dove heads to the fishing line, stood it up and reeled it tight and the decoys looked like they were setting on the line.

Interesting. Do you have any pictures of this? Did you mean dove decoys?

We took some cedar pole around 30 ft and dug holes and stood them up .Then spanned some ACSR cable (power line wire) in between them . We put one set in the front field and one in the back . The pole are around 150 feet apart . My youngest son is a lineman so material wasn't a problem.

I used para cord to stake the poles and the line between the poles, sets up in a few minutes. looked through 5000 pictures and no luck,
