Done a little Hoss Trading

I found a gun shop that I am really liking, and took a few items with me to see how well I remembered the art of trading. It was fun and I got to move some stuff I was tired of looking at for some new, more interesting items. I traded a SP-10 with 2 barrels for a NIB SPS chambered in 7/08, and a LNIB Remington 1100 28" modified vent rib (my favorite dove gun). I also traded a Remington 700 BDL chambered in 30/06 for a very clean Remington 700 Classic chambered in 243. I had to give $25.00 boot. This guy will get all of my business as he truly made a customer out of me. He has very good knowledge of what to stock, and has Rhino choke tubes, Nikon and Zeiss optics, really nice for a smaller town dealer.

got to love the 7-08, what recipe have you got for it?

I`m gonna load the Nosler Solid Base 120 grain, and have 4 powders to try. I will try IMR4007, RL15, Varget, and Norma 203-B.

The 120 Solid Base touches the rifling at 2.830" This will fit the magazine box

I carried a few good handguns around for a couple days to different dealers and was only offered half to 3/4 of blue-book for each...that was the first and last time I will try to trade with a dealer in the shop. I have had very good luck at the gun shows!

Can`t say yet, there are still primers to be had, and I ran out of $ last trip with 2 bricks only left on the shelf. He has been good for 11,000 small rifle primers so far.
