does anyone shoot this set up? scope rings quest

anyone shoot a weatherby vanguard with a 50mm scope? if so did you have to use the HIGH rings to fit it or will mediums work? the lady at weatherby told me it med will fit to 2.2 outside diam of a scope and my nikon is just a TAD over 2 1/4 so i am doubting it will fit...i was trying not to use High rings if i didnt need them...i still may or may try to sell my nikon or trade it for a 42mm.

mediums will probably work if it's a #2 contour or smaller barrel. you could also opt for some medium-high rings and they would almost definetly work.

who makes the med-high rings, i did see those while looking at leupolds the other day?

i am not sure on the barrel size, its a 270 weatherby vanguard...
