I had a buck come through before daylight this morning and couldn't tell what he was. Then about 7:15 had a small 8 point at 15 yards and let him go. I'll tell ya that was hard since I haven't killed a deer in 5 years. But just not what I was looking for and I've still got some days to hunt.
My little girl has been asking to go. She's almost 2. She cried on me last weekend when I took my son. She was packed and ready to go last night so I promised I would take her today. So we went! We (she) made a ton of noise but we had fun anyway. My son was frustrated because he knew we wouldn't see anything lol. Now I had to promise to take him again just him and I. Busted some deer going in because we were only about 45 minutes before sunset. I'd say she's already got the bug!

I remember those days , I would always carry about 30 pounds extra when my youngest would go between the food , toys and a heater . Would love to have the chance to just spent a few more morning doing that again .

I understand the extra for sure. Luckily with the warm temps we went a little minimalist yesterday.
