Well, I hit the water again this morning slinging the redfin lures and hooked up on a really nice fish (20-30 lbs) and he headed straight for the timber pulling drag like a beast. He and I both knew it was over. All I could do was hang on. He wrapped me in a submerged tree and snapped the line. A little while later as it was about time to leave and the sun was hitting the water pretty good, I was casting anywhere there was a shady spot while listening to my friend tell a story. All of a sudden the water exploded and about half the fish came out of the water attacking the lure. He pulled about 75 feet of line but this time there was no tree to hang up on. We boated him and he weighed 24 pounds on the boga grips. I spent a lot of time reviving him and let him swim away after a few pics. Hopefully he will live. Thankfully, things are picking up.
