Killed a buck Tuesday and quartered him up and put him om ice i go out today to process him i get a back ham and i notice some lime green like slime coming out of it in one spot about the size of a nickel, I looked at it real closely and found were it was coming out i cut in to that spot but didn't find anything has anyone ever seen this before i threw the ham away would yall eat any of this deer or trash it all.

Was it right in the forward crease? Look like something you could cut off? Might be a gland...

Had a locust thorn in one once that looked like it was infected. It was only in a small area less than 1.5 inches or so, but it wasn't green, just discolored. I cut out a good ways around it and tossed out that chunk.

Something over the past few years I've noticed. I've occasionally seen wounds on deer I've taken and while processing I find damn little green plastic bullets from air rifles.

I just cut bad area out

Have had a number of healed over puncture wounds I've found in the hams of bucks I've taken. I always assumed it was from fighting.

Very common. If a buck loses a fight, a jab in the butt from the winner's tines usually occurs.
