Pretty lucky where I'm at and have 2 or 3 places to hunt close to home, but kinda miss the old days when I was a kid going to hunt at grandparents. She always had hot lunch ready and we got to hear all the tall tales of the day:) , Anyone still get to go to deer camp ?

I had that in Wisconsin and have an open offer to hunt there again anytime I'm back. I really miss the cabin, the laughs, even splitting the wood for the stove.

We do it every year the weekend muzzleloader opens. I look so forward to it all year long. Some of my most favorite memories have came from there.

We camp almost all season. My club has a really nice camp. That's 75% of the fun for me.

I do...bow camp and gun camp...usually 10 people at gun and 5 or so at bow. Real deer camps like in Michigan and Wisconsin are how many of us grew up. Here's a few pics from last year's deer camp.

Deer camp does not mean camping but could include camping. I've camped and hunted but "deer camp" is sorta like going to camp as a kid, not going camping as a kid...lol

Hunt my brother-in-law's cattle farm in NW MO almost every November for opening of MO rifle season. Hunt with buddies from back east and my brother. Lots of characters and lots of fun. The barn has been the camp, but it burned down over the winter. New barn is going up and hope to break it in this November.

I'm fortunate to live within driving distance of my hunting property...fortunate, I think... I do miss camping on location at various destinations tho. :)
