Deer breakfast sausage

I'm having one ground up into breakfast sausage. This will be the first time we have had it this way. Any feedback on taste? How does it compare to pork?

We make our own sausage and grind pork into the mix. Awesome. I'd say each processors recipe is different so hard to say.

I usually have some breakfast sausage made every year, and while I do like deer sausage, it will never knock pork out of its number 1 spot!

I like the red pepper breakfast sausage

It will taste like breakfast sausage but it wont have the moisture or texture that you get from a Jimmy Dean.

use it with some cream & chedder cheese as a jalapeno pepper stuffing mix. Buy the jumbo peppers, cut them in half, and fill them with the mix and put in the oven to cook. Makes a pretty amazing appetizer.

Picked it up last night. Will have to try the pepper stuffers

We use it in place of ground beef a lot, especially spaghetti or chili...wish I had more of it as it usually go fast in our house.
