Man I am stoked!! I swear, every time I'm in the woods, I learn something new. Especially being my first bow season... I'll try to keep it short
Had a pair of does come straight in on me, lead doe 22 yards, started to turn to her right but Saw me before she got broadside. Stomped at me, I knew she was gonna jump the string so I set my 20 yard pin low. I shot and dang did she drop hard! Hit her high. I sat for another 3 hours and went to look for blood.
600+ yards later, thru pine thicket, almost 300 yards of chest high grass, into bunch of hardwoods, there she was. Piled up.
Luck favors the prepared, and I've spent a lot of time reading and learning about all aspects of bow hunting. No doubt in my mind that I would have lost her if I hadn't prepared like I have. Thank you for everyone who have answered my questions on here and given advice. I've specifically asked questions on here about my bow, arrow spine, broadhead tuning, compensating for deer jumping the string, and blood tracking. All of it came into play today, so thanks!! I honestly wouldn't be having this successful a year without tndeer.
