I have $400 burning a hole in my pocket and cant decide what to get. I sold my bow due to the fact that I hate hunting wringing wet during the first bow season, and scouting this year will be almost out of the question. I am going to stick with MZ, rifle, and pistol. Which leads me to my debate on what to do. I have a Traditions Tracker that has served me well in the past on around 8 deer, but would love to have an Omega. On the other hand I would love to take a whitetail with a pistol. What brand and make of pistol would you guys suggest in a 44 caliber. I prefer the longer barrel as I will be mounting some glass on it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Ruger Super Blackhawk. They make a hunter model with integrated scope mounts on the barrel that comes with rings. It'll be a good bit more than $400 new though.

I really like Smith & Wesson in a revolver... But at the price I would probably go with the Blackhawk mentions above.. I have owned several blackhawks and there is certainly nothing wrong with them...

I have a Redhawk ,love it but there again your gonna put out a little more than $400. I have an Omega and love it,best muzzle loader I've ever owned.
