It's been an interesting season so far! My daughter has expressed an interest in hunting and it completely blew mind. We have hunted 4 or 5 times since juvenile without being able to connect. We have seen deer most every sit and had a shot opportunity at about 60 yards the last Sunday of muzzleloader but ended up with a clean miss. We left Ooltewah this morning about 7 to visit my dad in Elizabethton for the holiday weekend and hunt with him. We snuck away for a bit this evening and it all came together. She made an excellent shot with the same Winchester 30-30 I killed my first with. I think me and my dad were more tore up than she was. We have all been smiling ever since. It was unbelievable moment and I was blessed to share it with my dad.
