My daughter got to tote her second turkey out this morning. She was unsure if she was gonna go until a week or so ago, but she's glad she did. She loves deer hunting but didn't show any interest in turkey hunting until we were into the season last year.
He came in on a string once we got set up on him. He strutted, gobbled, and spit/ drummed all the way in. He got within range, and I called to him to get out of strut. He gobbled, ran his head up, and then went back to strut before she could shoot. We did that a few times before she finally got a shot.
