Seeing a bit of this with cantaloupes. I believe this is coming straight from the company that packages the seedling soil

best cure? That works? I know throw everything away works the best.

Could be caused by the rain but disease has to be present in soil to begin with. I think.

Thinking in future, beginning NOW, no more potting to get early start. Wait til temp is close...or right and go that way.

I do not have this problem with direct sow seeds.
 
Thanks. In this instance...new seedling trays...new potting soil...Temps in 80-90's in day over 70 at night. I can believe tossing everything is the cure/avoidance/reduction.

After 13 days in the dirt another cantaloupe has sprouted. Not holding my breath.
 
Changed potting soil.
soap water bleach all containers.
100% sprout on winter squash Black Z, not even one.

Killing me seeds in ground doing well.

But no more damping off.
