Could someone please give me feedback on the CVA Optima. The good, bad and the ugly please. :D

I have the thumbhole version, I just got done sighting it in today, and I have to say it is the best shooting Muzzleloader I have ever had, Can put them all In a baseball sized group at 100yrds

I tinkered with mine for a few days and came up with 100 gr loose powder and a 295 powerbelt. Out of a vice I shot 3/4 inch groups at 100 yrds, all three holes were touching each other. I swabbed the barrel after every shot also

I love mine. Accurate and cleaning is no problem.

What was your recipe?

Breakfree and believe it or not warm water. I put a little break free in a little plastic cup (2oz cup)and set the cup in the warm water to heat it up a little. May be my mind, but i think it makes cleaning easier. I also use wet and dry patch after every 3rd shot. I also remove breech plug and clean off every 3rd shot. Mabey that's why it's a little easier also.

i have that same gun topped with a Nikon Buckmasters 3x9x40 and i havent gotten to hunt with it yet as i purchased it last may but i like the way it shoots at the range........cant wait!!
