Just bought a 50 cal CVA Apex ML and I am going to shoot 250gr barnes T-EZ bullets. My question is: do you all weigh your BH209 powder or do measure the volume. I am going to start at 100 grains and go from there. Thanks!

You treat it like any other black powder or bp substitute. Measure by volume.

Some, including me, once having found what "by volume" load works in a particular rifle, weigh that measured "by volume" load. That measured weight, and only that weight, is then used to produce consistent loads.

Weigh your charges ,Jcalder is right on the money. This is the ONLY way to get consistent loads.

used to weigh mine, 1.5 grains does NOT make a difference with blackhorn209. It does however make a difference with smokeless powder.

$30.00 to 40.00 depends on where you get it.

That's what I use in the field. If I used it for reloading it would be in the trash lol

What brand of scale would be a good all around scale to use to measure for muzzleloading only.
