I was wondering what everyone uses to go after slabs. I actually use an old fly-rod. It is long and much more responsive than those long crappie poles (which I hate). I also use a light spinning real sometimes as well. How do yall bring them in?

Cheap ultralight rods purchased at Bass Pro. Same with the reels. Two to four pound test Stren. Either a minnow or jig under a float.

It ain't broke. I won't fix it.

Black/Blue or White/Chart. curly tail grubs, two on one line about 18" apart. Slow troll the bottom or under a float depending on depth or location of the fish.
