Crabapple ?

I planted a Doglo and a Transcendent crab apple in each area I have apple trees,because they are supposed to be good pollinators,I got to wondering,since I have only one of each kind,will they pollinate themselves,or each other?

Most apple trees require a different variety to pollinate, so you should be good. That is why if you only have one variety, say only Fuji, you actually need another apple tree variety available to pollinate them.

Dolgo is self pollinating and will pollinate other trees over a long period of time. Transcendent is self pollinating and will also bloom over a decent period of time. Even though they are self fertile, production will almost always be enhanced on any variety of apple through cross pollination, no matter if its a apple or crabapple. What you have to look for to see if they cross pollinate is bloom times that overlap. And yes Dolgo and Transcendent bloom times should definitely overlap.
