Couple nice deer from a friend in Indiana

Old hunting buddy from years ago sent me some pictures after I sent him some of mine. I guess I should be embarrassed!
2016, 2018 and the velvet buck was the last picture he had of that deer in 2017.

That's what I said! His 2020 buck is real a similar 11 point with shorter tines. Can't post it since he's in the picture.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. Those deer up there get ginormous. TN gets some good deer, and sometimes a real stunner, but it's not IN, IL, OH, etc.

What he said. Comparing TN to IN is like comparing apples to oranges, not even remotely close in antler size per age class, especially mature bucks.

I grew up in Evansville just down 41 from there. My buddy is in SE Indiana. 25 years ago I turkey hunted some of the same property he does now. I wasn't really into deer hunting at the time. Some truly great hunting on that side of the state.
