Couple good Beech Lake chunks from today

Went back out with cdtac1 today to Beech Lake to pre-fish for a club tourney I have there next Sunday. We did pretty good. Caught fish on a variety of baits from chatterbaits, to jigs, to crankbaits, to shakey heads. Most fish came on Shakey heads and Jigs. Keyed on banks with blow-downs. Not just any bank with a blow down would suffice. We did the best on the banks where deeper water was closer to the bank as opposed to a more gradual slope from the bank to deeper water. Most fish were between 8-15 ft. deep. My big fish was 21 inches long. No idea on weight as the battery in the scale died. Oh well, she's still swimming to be caught and weighed again. Headed to Glenn Springs in the morning with cdtac1. Will report back tommorrow!

Mossy - you and your buddies crack me up. Why do you always look all pissed off when you hold up a fish? I know the old touchdown saying, "act like you've been in the end zone before," but y'all look like you're praying someone will come yank that huge log out of your arse!!!!

I don't know if you've noticed, but I look like I just won the lottery every time I hold up a 6-inch bluegill. Heck, I can't help myself! To each his own - just a humorous observation...

LOL, that's because we are that tired. But it was worth every bit of it.

Not bad for neither of us getting much more than a couple hours sleep and getting up at daybreak and fishing til dark, then driving 2 hours back home!
