96 days until I'll be bowhunting in TN.
I spent this weekend shooting from awkward positions as well as doing some shooting from my Gobbler Lounger. I've got a spot I want to hunt that I can't hang a treestand at and I don't want to leave a ground blind out for the thieves. I think it will be a good place for an early season doe or two.
I also submitted my Quota Hunts. I did the "choose two" option and put in for the Oak Ridge Nov hunt - 1, Oak Ridge Oct hunt - 2, and Oak Ridge Dec hunt - 3; all archery. I have a point from last year, so I should draw one of the better Oak Ridge hunts for sure and possibly the December hunt as a second.
I use to hunt the archery Oak Ridge hunts religiously, but kind of drifted away from them for a few years. I even gave away some GPS coordinates for Tower Shielding to a fellow TNDeer member needing help. I'm going to start putting in and hunting there again (not Tower Shielding, I'm done with waiting in line to hunt). I think it makes good sense to hunt somewhere that I can scout and hunt on a more regular basis than put in for something far away and not be able to draw it annually or scout when I want.CountryBoy053":1wbh8d6m said:I've been drawn on oak ridge 4 years in a row now. I hope to make it 5 this year. Got my app in for all the archery and all the gun hunts.

71/94 days
Since I'll be hunting in Arizona in August, I've been running in the afternoons, acclimating to the heat. At least I'm trying to convince myself of that.
