Colorado GMU 24, Elk Hunting 101 Needed!

Going on the 2nd rifle hunt in October. Anyone hunted around Lost Solar Creek in unit 24? Never hunted elk before, any help in this unit, or any help in general would be greatly appreciated. I have been looking at topos and aerial photos, im just overwhelmed by the vastness of this unit! Help!

Good luck. Get a GPS. I hunted units 77 and 78

get as far away from atvs as possible. look for the toughest terrain possible, that's where the elk will be.
