Cold front?

AccuWeather showing a cold front moving thru right before muzzleloader. If that happens it's going to be an awesome opening day!
I sure hope so. Local weather is calling for it on Thursday. I sure wish that it was on Saturday instead, but I really just hope that it's cooler regardless

Weather models can't seem to come to a consensus for opening weekend. They all agree there will be rain sometime during opening weekend, but have it at different times. Can't agree on what happens after the rain either. One has a solid cold snap after, one has no cold snap until the 2nd weekend of MZ, and the third model is half-way between the two.

Bring on the rain. I killed my biggest ever right after a rain squall moved through. And have killed a few nice ones during a drizzle/light rain.
Exact same for me as well. I Love hunting in a light drizzle more than any other weather

And they get paid for reporting not accuracy. 😂

Normally I find they're getting pretty good out to 7 days, but we're 7 days from the opener and they are all seeing something different.
And these are the people telling the sheeple whats going to happen 100 years from now with their gloom & doom predictions 🤣

Slight NNE wind with rain chances and the temps staying in the 70's. Lows unchanged.. Worst deer season weather I can ever remember...
As I've said many times, human perception is heavily influenced by the fact we have very poor memories! The other day I posted numerous examples of days in the past 20 years when we had temps in November in the 80s. Just a few years ago we set all-time high temp records during MZ season (mid 80s).

I certainly don't like hot weather during MZ season (or any time during November). Hot weather negatively effects daylight deer movement. However, maybe not as bad as we think. Below are two graphs, November hunter collected buck observation rates for morning hunts based on the morning low temperature, and buck observation rates during afternoon hunts based on afternoon high temperature. In both cases, buck observation rates statistically decline the warmer the temperatures (black line is the statistical trend), but the decline is not so bad that it's not worth hunting in the warmest temperatures. From the coldest temperatures to the warmest, the decline basically cuts buck sightings in half, but it doesn't drop to zero or anything close to that. And even then, there are days with hot temps that were still good days, just not as many "good days" as during cooler temps. And by the way, this is 37 years of data from TN.

I find that hard to believe. It may have got that hot but I bet the Avg temp has to be much warmer this fall. Last fall was bad too. Everything is green no killing frost yet, leaves on trees.

Again, our memories are poor, especially when it comes to the weather. I'll hear how hot a summer is - worst ever even - only to look at the data and see years where we had 15 days in a row over a 100. How bad the hurricanes or tornadoes are this year, but they were FAR worse in the 50s-60s and even 1920s.

Just last year it hit 81 degrees on November 8. The year before that, it hit 80 on November 8 and 9. In 2016 it hit 82 on October 30 and 83 on the 31st. I could go on and on.

It's been terrible weather. I don't know if it's the worst ever but definitely tied.

I try not to complain about the weather, but this fall has been absolutely maddening minus the cold snap in mid October that lasted for like 4 days.
Absolutely maddening.

It has been a well above average October, that's for sure. And one of the driest on record. And it's looking like at least the first half of November will be well above average. Record breaking? Not even close. But well above average.
