I'm in Louisiana, bought my plants on February 14th from a local nursery. I put them in larger pots and kept them away from 2 or 3 frosts and planted when it warmed up. It helps to be in zone 9a.

I planted some cherry tomatoes one time, and they come up voluntarily now, every year. I transplant a few to pots and leave the rest to fend for themselves. I usually have enough cherry tomatoes to keep Kroger in stock !

Nice.

I like to pull them off the vine and eat them warm from the sun. Can't put them in your pockets.
I only plant 1 cherry tomato a year, rest are regular ones. I try to keep up eating all of them as they start ripening. After a couple weeks I can't keep up with the daily harvest.
