Early last October I planted a 1/2 acre of whitetail forage oats and mixed in imperial clover. The deer kept the oats mowed down all winter. Now with more warmth and sunlight, it is growing faster and they are still hitting it hard. Clover is also sprouting.
The clover being a perennial and the oats being an annual, when should I kill off the oats (and other grasses) to maximize the clover?
