Can I hunt in out-skirts, but still in the city limits, of Cookeville with a gun or muzzleloader? Also is it legal to hunt coyote in Tn, with a deer rifle after Jan 4?
TWRA has no regulations dealing with hunting in the city. That is between you and the city or county.
You can kill coyotes with a centerfire rifle right now if you are a legal big game hunter (license/blaze orange).
Centerfires become legal for coyotes for all hunters the day after the G/M/A season closes with the exception of the weekend of the Young Sportsman's hunt. It will be closed to adult hunters that entire weekend, and then will open back up until archery season starts in 2015.
