never ever leave food outside in a campgroud. My sister thought her chocolate cake was safe enough inside it's wrapper sitting on the picnic table in the fly proof tent. They took off for an afternoon of fishing and when they returned the cake was sitting on the ground, still in the wrapping.........

but a fourth of the top side had been eaten through and the top inch or so of chocolate cake was nabbed by the thief.
Sad thing is, it was a lil boy's birthday cake.
Of course I was accused of being the culpit that put it on the ground. But I swear I was no where near their campsite that evening.
We discovered the thief when this one visited our site. He'd eat anything that was outside if it wasn't in a hard container.
