Chickasaw State Park lakes

Don't know how many of yall have experience fishing either of the lakes but since I'm working here now I'll be hitting them hard this year. There has already been a 15 pound channel cat caught out of Lake Placid.

I used to love fishing them. I have not in some time. For bass try a black and blue Zoom Lizard texas rigged.

There was a 13.6 pounder caught out of Lake Placid last year, we have the mount in the park office right row.

I had the regulations for the bass changed for both lakes this year also, when the new fishing regulations go into effect there will be a 14-18" slot with a limit of 10, only one over 18

Can you launch a boat in either of the lakes? I can't remember.

You can at lake lajoie, you have to rent a boat at lake placid
