Picked up 10 Dunstan Chestnuts, in the 3 gallon containers at Rural King last week on clearance.
Think they may do better if I wait to plant until in the fall. What's the best way to keep container trees health for extended periods?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

Good deal....yes I would wait till fall to plant them and for now keep them at home where you can water them couple times per week especially during super hot dry spells....l've got some sawtooth and a chestnut I'm nursing at the house that I plan to transplant this fall...for now they have sun most of the day with some shade and we keep the soil moist.....go ahead and plan on protective tubes for your trees...or build some cages around them with woven wire...and keep an eye on them for Japanese beetle....I had to spray ours last year.....good luck with your project!
