This is my little Savage .223 I put together. I don't deer hunt with this one, just took it along while checking my deer rifles this afternoon because I enjoy shooting it so much.

Bought an old beat up model 11 cheap. Kept the receiver, bolt, and trigger and chunked the rest. New heavy varmint barrel, Boyd's laminated stock, one piece Weaver rail and BSA Sweet 17 scope from Midway.

The target above was shot at 100 yards.

75gr Sierra MatchKing over 24.0gr Varget.

How about this one?
Turkish '98 Mauser action, 22" 6.5x55 Swede barrel, Bold Optima trigger, Richard's Microfit laminated stock. It shoots way better than I'm capable of.

That looks like one of those scopes with a laser range finder built in.
