Sorry, I'm not sure that the system even gives you the option on the date. I think it goes in for the date it is checked in, which means you could not kill another buck that day. That prevents someone from shooting two bucks and claiming one was from the day before.

If you have shot, but not recovered, on any "last" day of a season, it is always best to contact TWRA with the details to get ahead of the questions resulting from a check in outside of the season.
