Caught the crud on Thanksgiving

on top of it being Thanksgiving and we always host, so I have lots to do. Ive been promising River we would be able to hunt more. I was going to take him yesterday but I knew the wind would really make it awful today and set my alarm this morning but turned it back off. I've got 5 days in a row off to hunt and havnt been able to leave the house.

Same here. It started Sunday morning while up in the tree. Started coughing and spitting green stuff. Now an annoying cough. So much so that I'm not going to Thanksgiving lunch with the fam due to little babies being there

Wife been sick since Sunday. Fever, puke, the works. Daughter had low grade fever and sniffles for a couple days. Not the best Thanksgiving break and definitely not the tradition, but making the best of it. Thankful to be above ground.

Wife and I began taking pre and probiotics a couple years ago and neither have had a sniffle since. Knock on wood but so far I'm amazed and impressed.

Elderberry, zinc, vitamins multi b, c and d. And drink lots of fluids/water.

I have had a little cough and chest congestion, but not really felt sick. Last several times the kids or wife have been sick I just got mild symptoms.

Funny this thread is here. My wife knows we discuss everything on TNdeer, so she asked me to check and see if anyone was talking about this crud going around. They've had several people in her office attend meetings where everyone ended up sick.

I've had it going on three weeks. Don't feel too bad but sinus drainage is horrible . May be why I'm not seeing much blowing snot every few minutes.

And a bottle of peppermint schnapps, sit by the buddy heater to warm it up and drink it slow,very slow or them deer are going to turn into moose!
All jokes aside it was about the only thing that would cut the cough for me without getting all loopy headed. It's got less alcohol than this new cough medicine the doctors are giving out.

I think someone at our thanksgiving was passing it around. I started feeling it yesterday and by last night multiple trips to the bathroom .Running a temperature 100.5. Just found out one of our sons and his wife have it also. So no hunting yesterday or today, and probably miss work tomorrow.

I don't know what this crud is. But it took a month to totally get over it. After a few days I thought I was almost better. Only to go down a second time. Took me a long time to get over it.

I am on round two of antibiotics and got a steroid shot on Friday. I hobbled to the stand yesterday with a pocket full of cough drops.

On the third week, 2 nd round of infection meds and steroids! I dont know how in the world a man can make so much snot!
