OK... when, where and how... I have seen guys using crappie jigs and fishing them real fast... I have heard they can be a blast and can catch a ton of them... I would like to have some for catfish and I think my Son would love catching them...

Fish them slow and fast, deep and shallow to find the fish. Crappie jigs, rooster tails, even crankbaits will catch em. I caught one fly fishing on a white wooly bugger once. A preferred jig of mine is a crappie magnet in "killer klatt" or similar flashy color.

Best luck I've had was on minners in the lake. Was fishing for crappie and caught more skippies than crappie.
