I agree. Same for me nothing but bucks but passed on many does and small bucks all season. Lol

Same problem here... I'm in freezer more now and can buy a dang doe at all.. Just little bucks now..

Morgan and Scott Counties are lousy with does. I have seen ONE buck in the woods all season, and @15 does, at least 10 with at least possible firing solutions. Our epically heavy brush is a definite handicap; I am an old Highpower Service Rifle shooter, and jerking a shot when it kind of looks like it's good just isn't an option for me. @225 yards is entirely too long of a shot for a .35 Marlin, though, and that's what I had and how far the buck was.

Does can be feast or famine this time of the year... Most are grouped back up into larger family groups, so you can go a day or two without seeing one, then a group of 6 or 7 will all come out at once. Hunt when you think they will be especially hard on the feed- like right before a big front, or right after a nasty cold front moves through.
