This really aint about QDM, but I'm gonna ask anyways.

Cane a person transplant Cane? Was thinking bout trying to hide a stand, What better way to use natural camo.

Good idea. I transplanted some honeysuckle to a tripod stand 2 years ago and its rockin.

Id say you could if conditions are similar. You would probably have to dig up the rhizome (shallow root that runs out from the cane) along with part of the plant. Ive transplanted alot of bamboo that way. Early spring is a good time. Take a maddock and shovel. Cane is a grass fun fact.

Could always just cut some down and blind it in too.

Id be careful,very invasive stuff

Very true.

It is transplantable. However, if you do you need to do it now. When it starts to get hot and you can't get water to it you will be in trouble. Your best bet is to plan it out where you know there is going to be a multiple day rain event. That way you can get it dug and re-planted just prior to the rain. It may look like it is dieing for a while (even a season) but the following year it will begin to take off.

Another idea, would be to dig a lot of new culms that will be shooting up in April/May and stick them into the ground.

I assume you're talking about native stuff, correct?

I have a couple of species at my place that gets about 35 foot and last years culms were as big around as a coke can.

Yeah just native stuff for me. What it is I got a spot thats about 20'x20' over grown setting in the middle of the field. A large Oak tree once stood in the spot and we always farmed around it. When the tree fell we just pushed it in a pile. The tree is pretty much gone now and a box blind will stick out like a sore thumb. Figured the cane would hide the blind after a few years. And it would only be growing in that spot. If it tried to grow any further it be disked over atleast twice a year so spreading out of the spot I dont have to worry bout.

We have moved a bunch to act as a road shield for a food plot. It is hard as anything to dig. We had to have broke at least 4 shovels.
