I knew an old man that got caught on the tidal cooper river here in SC. The tide went out and he got stuck in a ride field. He was stuck in a puddle with a bunch of fish. He used his net to scoop fish out of the water. He got caught at the ramp with 500 fish in his boat. Everything from bream, crappie, bass, to catfish. He told me they took his boat and he paid a hefty fine

They may live in TN, but based on their names I'm betting they weren't born here. Probably came over on a spy balloon.
There have been a lot of reports that illegals (mexican, asian, other) have no regard for limits. This may be why some of the fisheries are not as great as in the past. According to people in the know, they just catch all they can and bring home to eat, stock their restaurants etc...

Goodfield bridge/creek used to be a GREAT place to go crappie and white bass fish. The Hispanics took it over and turned it into a trash pit on the banks. They wade and kayak fish it...they totally block the whole channel from boats and fish it EVERY DAY. Keep everything they catch. Everything. No matter the limit or length. If they catch it...it goes on a stringer or in a bucket.

Where is the TWRA? Oh yeah, out riding around in their boats checking out the chicks on the lake!

If any of you guys think that the TWRA will do anything about this you are just wishing on stars.... They do not want to have to deal with illegals since it makes problems and more work for them... When you look at the record of the TWRA over the last few years you should know that... Officers poaching, stealing gas, Officers lying about CWD testing to steal state and federal money... Just wait a few more weeks and something else will come to light.

It is much easier to mess with a citizen to fine them for something small than to deal with illegals.

In addition to the fine, each defendant was placed on probation for a period of one year, during which time each man will be prohibited from fishing anywhere in the world and banned from all Corps of Engineers property in the Northern District of Mississippi.

"We appreciate the collaborative investigative efforts of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and prosecution of this case by the U.S. Attorney's Office," MDWFP Colonel Jerry Carter added. "We will continue to work with our federal partners to conserve and protect Mississippi's natural resources by utilizing all investigative tools available to ensure that those who choose to violate the laws of this state are investigated and prosecuted accordingly."

HA... how stupid is that statement... Banned from fishing anywhere in the world... Who is going to enforce that... oh wait, they cannot even enforce it in the US much less the world. Those guys were probably fishing the same place the day after this...
