If you were in the market for a new 4 wheeler, what would it be and why? Not really looking for a side by side. I have an older King Quad and like it, so they are an option, and the Rubicon 700 and Sportsman 850 are on the radar too.

Honda, they are hard to beat and easy to work on yourself if ever needed. Fluid change and brakes are pretty much all they ever need though.

My father bought a Can-Am from a guy that needed money a few months ago. Wow! Tons of power, like scary power.
Front end will pop like an old 2 stroke dirt bike.
Sits in his garage and I scare myself with it every time I go visit them.

No clue how their 4wheelers hold up etc but they certainly have an insane amount of power.
I have their SxS and it is wonderful with no complaints yet.

Any of the major brands should be just fine. Comes down to preferences in the end. If you want reliable go Honda. You will not get the bells and whistles or power, but have a solid machine. Polaris will have power and lots of accessories, but require more maintenance.

Always Honda.

I've got a 2024 polaris 570, it's a base model I use strictly for deer hunting checking cams and feeders….. no issues so far. Decided on it because it was about 2k cheaper than the Honda at the time. If I'm ever in the market again I will have power steering on it

Honda - but I have only had 1 ATV bought new in 2005 Foreman 500 ES 4X4(1200 or so miles now). I have replaced a bent A-arm, done regular maintenance. Needs a carb rebuild from just age/sitting/ethanol. Other than that, no issues, I have added accessories (but don't count those as needed cost). Power wise I am happy, it pulls/hauls goes fast enough for all I want (its a utility ATV). Only thing I think would be better is rear independent suspension (which other models of Honda have now). If buying another I would definitely go back to Honda, then maybe Yammie.

Always Honda.
Ditto! Bonus points if it'll fit in a standard truck bed (79") with tailgate up. I do everything possible to not pull a trailer when hunting. Because of this, I much prefer early model Foremans (95-04) with vertical front bumper, stock 12" tires and a old school rear metal rack where I can install drop rack to haul stuff and dead deer. This is a 1998 Foreman barn find with 1800 miles that I bought this summer and restored Aug - Oct. Dedicated hunting rig is what it'll be going forward.

Great job buddy! Got a friend that is helping his sister clean out stuff after her husband died and he found one similar with years of dirt on it from sitting in the barn. Took it home, drained the gas, cleaned it up, put a new key switch in it because sister didn't have it and fired it up. He's still working on it but as of now it looks promising.
