Buying a gun online

I found the rifle I want to buy my son online yesterday. Ive never done that before. Just looking for some input on an online gun transaction and if anyone has had any dealings with this company.

Every gun I own was purchased online. Have it shipped to an ffl and you will be fine.

That's Davidson's. They are a huge distributor, they sell to most dealers, and they're good to go. Unlike many "online dealers", they won't sell a gun directly to you and send it though a transfer dealer. They'll find a dealer for you, and do the transaction through them. You'll still have to pay sales tax (one of the big advantages of "buying online"), but you don't have to pay a transfer fee, and any gun bought through Davidson's comes with a lifetime warranty. Give your local guy a shot though, when I ran my store I could very often beat the "killer deal" a customer asked me to transfer for him, but I was also man enough to admit it when I couldn't and I never begrudged a guy for getting a good deal.
