" cwd zone " saw two bucks tending does this morning one where I was hunting and unfortunately couldn't get a shot and one on the way home one of the biggest bucks I've laid eyes on in a very long time. Any one else seeing any similar activity?

Thursday I had 5 does on camera in a food plot when a buck comes running out scattering them like quail. Best I could tell he chased them around but they weren't interested. Judging by what I saw on camera our second rut peaked around January 15.
Our bucks are skinny necked, rutted out and dropping antlers
Definitely rutted down here! Haven't seen any loose antlers yet
Saw a 2 point this morning in Fayette county was probably a 4 point last week

That's how I killed my buck. The girls got him in trouble lol definitely still at it in Crockett County

That's amazing. In my part of the county, 50% of bucks had dropped antlers by Jan. 1, and by the time I pulled my cameras (Jan. 17) I would say 75% had dropped antlers.

I'm in the North part of the Co..
I saw 2 different (younger) bucks last week , in separate locations chasing does..
Both still carrying both sides of their rack..
Both on Hwy 13 just South of the Houston Co line..
I had 7 mature bucks chase a doe across the road in early February of 2019-20 ..
In basically the same area..
I figured the doe was just one that came in late…
