BSK increased scrape urination and whitetail knowledge for the average TN hunter. Thousands of site visitors read his posts and learned something new. Nobody even knew what a trail camera survey was and many had never even heard of a median or a bell curve until he shared.

I've been one of those who "freshened up" mock scrapes & it WORKS! Got a buck on camera shortly after that & 3 or 4 days later had him on the ground.

Very knowledgeable when it came to Whitetails, I too enjoyed discussing things with him.

I didn't agree with him on much, but he was entertaining sometimes.
What is it you don't agree with him on. Something other than deer I could maybe understand. When it comes to the knowledge and science of whitetail deer he is the man!! Or are you holding out on us?

I hope his health is doing good. I also hope he still has interest in Whitetail Deer. Whether some want to admit it or not, I think he has taught us many things about deer and I for one appreciate it.

I also learned a little about ATV safety from him too. :D

For those who don't know, he had a hilarious story about his 4 wheeler getting hit by a train. :)

That was a good one. Then there was the story of disking a food plot with a Chevy 1500 4X4.. As i recall, that did not end well.

I agreed with a few things he thought about deer hunting, but I completely disagree with much of what he says about many things concerning deer. Actually, doing the opposite of many thoughts he had, has actually improved my deer kill success, especially mature buck kills.

Is this proprietary information or are you going to share the details with us?

Headhunter, can we all get a background f your experience? BSK is well written and documented in many studies of whitetail deer. Without documentation of experience one tends to believe that your comment about BSK may be just an opinion!

Just search his posts. It was obvious to me when I disagreed with his thoughts and theories, especially about deer management. I help cull does on a couple of highly managed pieces of land (I have never killed a buck on any of them and probably never will, more money than I can spend) on occasion and BSK's thoughts are for sure disagreed with on those places, they do the opposite of what he says in many instances, they have some highly paid biologists that help them, and they have very successful places and kill great bucks. FYI, he posts on many websites (I learned this when I was searching for ANY posts on TWRA meetings about deer hunting) and trying to understand what all the uproar was about in the last year or so.

BSK was an awesome asset to this forum. Internet forums are full of self-proclaimed experts. I wish BSK could ignore those folks and continue to offer his knowledge to those who visit the forum not to thump their chest but to share and learn.

Yes I agree! We seem to have lost a very valued member due to some disagreement or some other reason possibly. I just wish he would reconsider!
